Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating correction
Hyperhidrosis is the abnormal or excessive sweating that occurs without exercise, this sweating is so exaggerated that it could soak your clothes or drip down the palms of your hands.
Affecting Hyperhidrosis
Hyperhidrosis can affect hands, feet, armpits and face. It occurs once a day on both sides of the body.
Sometimes this problem can be calmed with very strong antiperspirants, however, this treatment usually does not work at all, that is why it may be recommended to the patient the application of botulinum toxin type A, blocking the chemical messengers or undergo surgery to permanently eliminate the excess sweating.
Correction of Hyperhidrosis with surgery
Hyperhidrosis surgery is performed through videothoracoscopy making two small incisions in the armpits placing a special camera that will allow us to see the chest inside to find the nerve that is responsible for leveling sweating, once found the nerve is cut at a certain level to eliminate excessive sweating.
Surgical treatment is advisable when the patient has tried different treatments, such as the use of antiperspirants and botulinum toxin without being able to control the problem.
With this procedure we will achieve the elimination of sweating permanently.
